present all the moving related receipts( rental truck,mailing,eating,and
hotel,et al.) to your new employer.
Different employer has different regulations. You should ask for the HR of
your new employer in advance.
And also, employer should have the requirement for the maximum amount of the
expenditure. For example, $5000 in Yale university, $1500 in my institute

I know an institute of UCSF offers a fixed amount of money to cover your
relocation whether or not you really spent that much. |
