The Thermal Manufacturing and Machining Group at the University of Wisconsin
- Milwaukee is focused on thermal aspects of machining processes (e.g.
grinding, turning, honing, milling, drilling, etc.), environmentally benign
manufacturing, Batteries (Lead Acid and Lithium Ion), Fuel Cells and
Hydrogren Generation Technology, Cold Gas Dynamic Spraying of Nanoparticles,
Nanotechnology in Materials processing, Biosensing Technology, CFD, and
Numerical Heat Transfer.
We are looking for Postdoctoral or Graduate students with expertise in the
following areas:
-Electrochemical Reaction in Lead-Acid and Lithium Ion Batteries
-Assembly of nanostructured electrode materials for electrochemical energy
storage
-Conversion of non-precious metal and Pt-based catalysts for PEM fuel cells
-Electrodes for Lithium Ion Batteries
