申请waiver，不知道时间上来得及不？拿到waiver后办H1来得及吗？
我看网上说waiver在大使馆要3到6个月，到美国DOS也要3个月，那这样时间岂不是很玄？
希望有经验的同学指点一下，非常感谢！ |

中国大使馆要求2019表至少还有6个月的时间。
至于Waiver全程的时间，快的3个月以内，长的就不好说了。

中国大使馆需要3到6个月发出no objection letter,美国收到信很快就会办吗?我现在
就是不知道这块时间是咋算的。
另外，学习department不愿意给我办h1，原因是我的j1还可以延期。我的boss同意办，
请朋友们支招。谢谢。

发帖数: 9035 | 6 1. Case by case, Step 1, depends on your Consular officer, someone processed fast, takes 1-2 months, someone takes 3-6 months.
2. 美国收到信很快就会办吗?Step 2, depends on the DOS Visa Officer, some VO processed fast,
some VO processed slow.
3. Step 3, after USCIS got your case, some Immigration Officer(IO) processed fast, some IO processed slow.
Case by case, you need start J waiver ASAP if you do not want to extend another 1 year.If you want to extend 1 year, you can do later.
If you have questions, feel free call Embassy or Consulate, number see top 3 post.

发帖数: 265 | 9 You have to assure someone will support you an H1b first, otherwise get J1
extended first and then apply for the wavier so you will get enough time to
seek for places that will support your H1b application. Your boss can do
nothing if the department does not want to support you an H1b. Certain
amount of the application fee has to come from the department when you are
applying for an H1b. Hire a personal lawyer won't change anything. |

发帖数: 646 | 12 赶紧办wavier吧。我的经验，在中国大使这边花的时间是大头，快的话两个月就能完；
美国那边一个月基本能搞定。
我认识一个，H1b加急（多交1000块）的话，不到一个月就完事了。

then he started J wiaver right away. I think 15 months is enough.

but mine (11/04 NOL) is still pending… I checked all the case # whose NOL
