关系。可是还是得豁免。以下是我的timeline。这段时间，有过焦虑，有过愤慨，最后
总算等来了结果。
中国大使馆方面：
10月6号2014， “J-1签证豁免”在线申请已成功提交
10月9号2014， 收到“J-1签证豁免”申请材料及申请费用，并已受理申请
10月17号2014， “J-1签证豁免”申请更正信息并补充材料通知
之间补材料寄送
10月27号2014， 纽约中国留学服务中心报送所属的驻美使馆教育处进行审核
、审批
10月27号2014， 使馆教育处审核通过，报送中国驻美国大使馆教育处进行审批
11月26号2014， 中国驻美国大使馆教育处正式发出“不持异议信”
赞一下中国方面，速度态度都不错。
DOS方面：
Recommendation Sent February 13, 2015
No Objection Statement Received December 05, 2014
Fee Received October 24, 2014
Form DS-3035 Received October 24, 2014
Form DS-2019 Received October 24, 2014
Passport Data Page Received October 24, 2014
Statement Of Reason Received October 24, 2014
这之中只有焦急的等待。。。。
USCIS方面：
Case Received from another office Feb. 18, 2015
I-797C received Feb. 23, 2015
Case was approved (online) Mar. 18, 2015
等待最后纸板I-797 --
近5个半月，终于豁免了。。。

我有一个问题，刚开始在网上填DS-3035时，没太在意，所以在写statemen of reason
时只是简单的写了一下我符合豁免的理由，但没写为什么申请豁免。这会有影响吗？因
为已经网上提交并且打印，把最后那个有条形码的一页连同其他材料一起寄到了中国使
馆。怎么补救呢，是不是不可以再在网上重新写一次了？谢谢。

我不清楚到底你的会不会影响到DOS的判断。好像有听说过reason没写好受影响的。你

To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is to request a waiver for the 2-year home residence requirement
based on “No Objection Letter” that will be obtained from my home country
(P. R. China). The reasons I would like to apply for a J1 waiver are the
followings:
I have been in the U.S.A. since xxxx, after receiving my Ph.D. degree from
xxx. I am currently employed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at xxx. I am not
being funded by the United States or Chinese government, or any
international organization.
I specialize in the synthesis of molecular sieves (e.g., zeolite, SAPO) and
inorganic membranes for various applications. One promising project I am now
working on is the precise modification of the intrinsic crystalline pore
size of molecular sieves in angstrom scale using molecular layer deposition
or atomic layer deposition or the combination of both methods. Another
project involved is the development of graphene-based membranes and zeolite
composite membranes with engineered composition and constitution for oily
wastewater treatment, desalination, and gas separation.
Professor xx who is my current postdoc advisor will sponsor me for this
additional period before returning to China. This will enable me to complete
my current projects as well as accept additional training prior to
beginning my future independent academic career.
I will apply for the No Objection Letter and my embassy will directly
provide you with the “No Objection Letter” issued for me.
I appreciate your support and assistance for waiving my two-year home
country residence requirement.

在网上有一个creat statement of reason, 网上说可重新编辑打印，不知道是否好用
，明天到单位试一下。：）
