发帖数: 213 | 4 Labor Department has changed the minimum annual salary necessary to be
exempt from overtime rules from $23,660 to $47,476. This minimum is set to
begin December 1, 2016. This affects us mainly with regard to postdoc
salaries. If a postoc is making less than the minimum, then you would need
to keep track of hours and pay overtime for any hours worked over 40/week.
This is, as you know, contrary to the very nature of a postdoc and would
likely be not feasible. The only way to avoid this is to increase the salary
levels to the new minimum. | z*******g
