1) June 16, 2017: My department started to prepare H1b petition
2) June 21-22, 2017: Prevailing wage determination (PWD) request sent
3) June 29, 2017: Received PWD
4) July 17, 2017: H1b petition sent to USCIS (non-premium processing)
5) July 31, 2017: H1b approved
Totally it took only about 47 days.
I know that on July 24, the premium processing (PP) was resumed. While
before I pay $1,225 for PP, it got approved already!
I heard that many H1b cases take 5-8 months without PP, while for PWD, it
may take 2-3 months. I am so lucky!
It appeared that when PP was suspended, the normal processing was really
quick! |
