发帖数: 36 | 1 The Pharmaceutical Science division of the UC Winkle College of Pharmacy is
accepting applications for a Research Associate position to pursue basic and
translational cancer research funded by National Cancer Institute.
The research will focus on understanding the fundamental principles of
cancer-associated fibroblasts and the tumor microenvironment in targeted
therapy and immunotherapy and determining the molecular, cellular, and
transcriptional mechanisms underlying the complex interactions among cancer
cells, cancer-associated fibroblasts, therapeutic agents, and the
microenvironment. We use a variety of tumor organoid models, genetically
engineered mouse models, and xenograft models combined with functional
genomic and epigenomic approaches to identify important druggable targets in
the tumor microenvironment in melanoma and other types of solid tumors.
Appointment duration:
The desired start date for this position is 7/1/2021.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, execute, and analyze laboratory experiments.
• Draft, write, and edit scientific reports, papers, journal articles,
and abstracts.
• Develop, set-up, and validate experimental procedures in the
laboratory.
• Develop and evaluate innovative techniques.
• Discuss scientific insights about experimental results with Faculty
and provide useful recommendations and analysis.
• Establish a pivotal role in the laboratory's meetings, presentations
, and publications.
• Troubleshoot and correct erroneous results or problems with
laboratory equipment.
• Follow policies and procedures governing the handling of
confidential information as defined by the University of Cincinnati.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Qualifications:
• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.
• Candidates with a background in cell and molecular biology and
cancer research.
• Experience in skin biology, cell signaling, genomic analysis, stem
cells, and mouse models of cancer or other diseases will be a plus.
