so much today is because I just finished up something by the deadline today so
that I can relax a bit. But more importantly, I feel it is necessary to
remind people who are looking for postdoc positions to focus on more important
things, such as research projects, the advisor's academic reputation,
research environment, etc.
The advisor's personality is an important issue, but it cannot be generalized

. As to "every PI wants to get along with their postdocs", reality is many PIs
do not care.
A postdoc is not just for training. You still have your social lifes. Many
chinese bosses completely forget the second part.
