Bill Gates never got Microsoft/Cisco/Oracle (or IBM, for practical reasons)
certified before he jumped into the programming business.
Ok I was joking:) In my opinion it matters less the type of paper
certificate/degree you present to your interviewer. It matters more whether
or not you can get the job done, or, more direct, how much money you can
