As an average programmer become older, one will prefer to write in a more
comfortable
programming language.
In this sense, each of these languages are too big to "die off". They will
live forever.
For programmers who would like to be forever young, forever hungry, don't
visit MITBBS too much. Go read some other places, and most importantly,
learn new languages and write a lot of code.
