HBO etc.), with ads too, and cable companies decide when you can watch.
What's the point for Hollywood studios to lose all that money for $8 a month
?
Netflix is a bargain, which means its service is good for the price, but it
won't have all the content at this price. All companies are created to get
more money from you, not leave more money on the table.

发帖数: 510 | 8 我本人对NETFLIX保持中立，但是楼主这个帖子实在太文科了，不像是PROGRAMMER版应
该有的态度。
网上的哥们千奇百怪，很多人真的不知道what they are talking about. 如果不是盗
版，你一般只能去电影院看最新的电影，然后是PAY BY VIEW，然后DVD，最后才是像
NETFLIX这样的STREAMING LICENSE.
然后就是什么叫BETTER MOVIE？很多人说的BETTER MOVIE其实就是NEW或他们自己没看
过的，用数据说话什么叫BETTER？NETLFIX最起码做过数据分析，所谓用户经常
COMPLAIN的we want newer/better stuff, 其实定义NEWER/BETTER都不一样，但是大量
用户数据分析处理用户对60个月或5年以上的电影，基本有共识是OLD。然后对NEWER的
定义成曲线上升，基本在12-18个月变成一个极点。我不知道现在最新的研究是什么，
但是NETFLIX以数据分析为核心的公司，会没人研究这个问题？楼主也太未免太自信自
己的智商了。
当然，每个用户口味不一样，你要自己去做个BUSINESS 看看，你不可能为了一个用户
在网上的某个评论就改变你的产品。很多东西看着容易，不就是网上看电影，不就是个
网盘，自己做做做死你。闻道有先后，术业有专攻，我不觉得不知道某样具体技术或领
域有什么不好意思的，但是别自作聪明妄佳评论，什么就加点BETTER MOVIE就OK了，那
你自己去做个MOVIE SERVICE呀。
