Each week New York Times Business section (Sundays only) has a portrait of a
Chief Executive Officer (or somebody with that stature, such as officials
in large corporations: Chief Operating officer, Chief Financial Officer,
president and so on). Those people are busy, so they usually dictate to a
reporter who then writes--hence "as told to" at the end of the portrait.
