当然我对统计本身，还有algorithms也还是很有兴趣的
一直以来也是做一些interdisciplinary work
其实我对他真的了解不多 是他找我的
我才刚开始看他的一些研究和paper
我也希望能够了解多一点再做决定 |

你可以把自己的concern给他讲讲，就说对这个program很感兴趣，
对in jae也感觉不错。但是对方向还不确定。
你可以考虑去了以后再转。不过最好是现在就讲清楚。
michael browne可能更适合你。

are often ignored in psychology because people don't understand them). If
you don't like math and have no interest in theory, you won't be happy with
him I guess. Although I do applied work, but I am one of those people who
subscribes to the "nothing is more useful than a good thoery" creed, so I am
biased.

As a math/stat major student, I do like maths and statistics, but I am not
sure whether I like theoritical psychology or not.

switching to psychology (e.g. many big names in cognitive psychology have
physics background), math/stat students do not seem to have much advantage.
I guess you can stick around in Jay's lab and see if you like it or not. I
believe he's more on the methodology side than on the cognitive side, so you
should be fine.
