you had better with a strong English language background. Meanwhile,
hopefully you know the American Culture very well.
You will have challenges in job search since many American choose these two
fields. They are hard to get admission(even more difficult than entering
Medical School if you choose Clinical Psychology), difficult to graduate(
some dept persuaded several International Students to quit since their
English were not fluent, t

发帖数: 1435 | 5 I used to believe in the myth of "critical point", it says that people who
are exposed to a foreign language after 12 years old can not acheive native
speaker like proficiency. I do not belive it now. I have seen many examples
of hard learners who speak English with little accent. The sentence
structure of CHinese language is very differnt from that of English though,
we normally follow our rules when speaking English but I recently have been
practicing what I would call jump thinking/reading,

the field of psychology.The first 2 to 3 years are VERY DIFFICULT.
In my own study, I have worked really hard to understand the values, culture
, beliefs, and family norms of main-stream Americans. These are not from
classroom. And the cultural factors may become "personal"--they challenge
your beliefs and identity you acquired in China. I am grateful that I have
had good American friends and mentors that helped me a great
