When it started by pioneering psychologist such as Hugo Munsterberg, that's
what it was called. Now it is knownn as I/O psych. Check this out:

It has been alienated by so called main stream psychology over the years and
is experiencing identity crisis lately. One reason is because it doesn't have
a well-accepted name.
