to that individual. This group identity has its position relative to other
groups. If you rank MIT no 2 in engineering would be considered a threat
to that identity and intrigue considerable defensive reactions.
In this PKU case, this particular individual may feel that PKU should
be among the top and cannot take any negative information, thus express
this sadness. It may seem unreasonable to outsiders, yet very real fo
