My answer to such a general question would be to study the requirement
of your intended program. When you meet these requirements, you'll be
accepted.

Well, there are financial supports available in the field of psychology,
though it is much less than it is in biology. As for me, I only get
approximately 50% of what I got before. I think it also depends on the area
you are interested in. If you can identify the area of your interest, those of
us, who are studying in that area, may be able to offer information better.

in clinical/developmental psych (interested in developmental psychopathology).
Is it hard to get into a psych program you want? It seems like the accptance
rate is very low for most schools. Can anyone offer some strategies about
applying to graduate schools? How many graduate schools do you usually apply?

so aim at a good school and spend another 5 yrs. Also, the % of female
faculty/profesionals in psch field is very high, so good for mm

only means mm can be successful and may not feel lonely in the field.

I suppose you are working with a professor in your department. You really
need to talk to him/her very seriously about your application to grad school.
UR has a very decent psych department and your professors will give you good
suggestions.

under a graduate student and she has been pretty helpful in answering
questions about clinical psychology career, designing experiments, and things
about Autism research. I think UR has had an early start on developmental
psychology which I should take advantage of. I actually just got a job offer
to work in the Mount Hope Family Center and I'll be doing some behavioral
codings on 2 year old kids. I think that would be a

for it conference though...and I don't have that funding for that. But I like
to read review papers and summaries of conference. I'm considering working
working in the lab and do some research after school for one or two years
before I apply to graduate school, that way I'll have a better chance getting
into a good program. I'm just kind of anx
