China, where I am currently a visiting professor at the Guanghua School of

尽管很多人都提倡，鼓励和支持这些endeavors,
也许也会给自己带来相对而言较多的机会，
但是两个disciplines的人对于和自己相关的那一部分要求也是同等的，
不会因为你的根在另一个领域就会和你speak a different language
而真正的掌握两个领域的languages并且能灵活互译又是何等艰难的事情。
It's not surprising to encounter such a situation where everybody
recognizes the value of your research, but thinks you probably belong to the
other field, although if luckily enough, both disciplines may take you,
yet it may take forever to really feel identified with them.
