chapter about quant career. Here it is, chapter 1 of my book. It's the
complete chapter, identical to the one in the book (save for a few corrected
typos). I think it can give those not familiar with the finance industry
or the quant profession some idea what the industry and profession are like.

You may or may not need a reason for why you want to launch a career as a
quant. If you do, this chapter will help you make that decision by giving
you a detailed rundown on what a quant career will be like and what its
advantages and disadvantages are. If you don’t need a reason – for example

performance have the potential of | Q*********r 发帖数: 93 | 5 Designing an Overall Strategy for Getting a Quant Job
The rest of the book is concerned with the nitty-gritty details of your job
search process, from writing an award-winning résumé to negotiating a job
offer. But first, before you embark on the journey, it’s important that you
have an overall strategy, a roadmap from where you are now (wanting to get
a foot in the door) to where you want to go (having a foot in the door).
This strategy is all about you. It will help you plan out exactly what y | Q*********r 发帖数: 93 | 6 PDF! :)
