I have been in IT for 10 years, and know C#/C++ pretty well. I am also
working towards a part-time Ph.D on Statistics in a top 40 university. My
research interests are data mining and stochastic process. The company I am
working for is a big company, and pays me well ( a little over 100K/year).
But I really don't like the city.
