h***z 发帖数: 233 | 5 There's a huge amount of variation in terms of pay for quants, any averages
will be very misleading. With that said, there's a very rough rule of thumb
for quant compensation that says if you are progressing decently well in
your career (i.e. you are neither a superstar nor significantly under-
performing compared to your peers), your total compensation (salary + bonus)
should be approximately the number of years you've worked times 100K, e.g.
you should make roughly 300k in your third year, 40

K******r 发帖数: 152 | 6 When you mentioned that the rule does not apply to the first year, do you
mean the compensation for first year is less than 100K or more than 100K?

T*******t 发帖数: 9274 | 7 well, it doesn't matter as the tail is so heavy that the first year number
is pretty much negligible.

h***z 发帖数: 233 | 8 The standard for first year total compensation (including signing bonus) is
around 200K for a fresh PhD graduate. This is about the same amount as the
second year total compensation.
