标 题: offer选择＋ 分享找工作经历 更新two sigma面经

我是cs master，今年5月毕业，在东部cs top30的学校。1月中旬开始投的简历（投了
15家听说过的大公司，挂了一个简历在monster），到现在拿到3个offer
1. nvidia：暑假实习的公司，湾区总部，还没谈待遇，我在网上看有人报105k base。
在他家主要做GPU的驱动的开发，少量测试，debug，语言主要是c/c++, 偶尔可能有
java c＃的tool要写。优点是manager人很好，知识渊博，对我非常非常nice，组里面
的活也不紧不慢的，大环境比较熟悉。缺点是现在组里6个人（包括manager）全部都是
印度人，我要去了就是唯一一个中国女生，其实暑假跟他们相处到没感觉有传说中那么
可怕，不过公司里印度人确实太多了，看上去实在像个大火坑。
2. two sigma：纽约总部，待遇还没具体谈，猎头告诉我最近刚入的一个fresh master
的base是110k，signin 15k，bonus不详，估计给我的也差不多。他家是个400人hedge
fund公司。招我的组是做high frequency trading的，全部用C，主要应该是关注实时
处理大规模数据的性能。优点是面试官整体感觉水平很高，也许加入他们组能学不少东
西，面试当天没看到一个印度人。缺点是小公司也许风险高一些，工作量更多，生活成
本更高。
3. Bloomberg：鸡肋一样的offer，base 90k。朋友反映都不怎么样，面试也非常简单
，所以应该不考虑了。
另外其他我正在面的公司有：amazon，apple，zynga。Zynga到了onsite，amazon和
apple都是电面。apple的工作是个tester，所以虽然是dream company估计也要move on
了。Zynga我看薪水跟nvidia好像差不多，我的兴趣和经历也更偏向nvidia。amazon在
西雅图，我也不是很想去。所以针对这三家公司，我即使拿到，也不太可能对目前的选
择做过多的影响。
另外比较让我憧憬的是google和Facebook，看板上这么多人都有面试我很羡慕。我也找
了refer可是目前还没有回音。虽然我曾经拿到google的两次面试，但都因为种种原因
没有面成，所以现在对这两家就是做做梦罢了。
在有面过的公司就是microsoft，HR聊天一轮就被秒锯。twitter简历就直接刷掉了，也
许因为我从来不用t
关于谈offer：
N T两家都还没有下正式offer，打过电话都是拼命宣传自己公司好的，也都没有提到实
际的薪水待遇。nvidia是答应给我更多的时间面完我想面的公司（他们真的非常nice）
，two sigma猎头说下周offer就出了，到时候再给两个星期做决定。我本人更喜欢加州
，不过hedge fund的薪水确实诱人，我看网上有master报hedge fund的给120k，所以很
想知道我是否还可以在跟他们要多点。另外nvidia是否能给到105k也有待考证。所以我
现在比较不知道该怎么办，是继续等待dream的fb和google不知道哪天才会来的面试呢
，还是坐下来好好跟这两家谈offer，我也不想拖太久显得我没诚意。如果谈我该怎么
个策略，大概能要到多少我也没有底。欢迎在这两家呆过的给点建议，谢谢！
关于准备面试和一点面经
我看了cracking code interview一遍，感觉这个特别有用。做了leetcode 上所有的
online judge，还有看了两天板上大家的面经。面试主要选用的java，但有的公司有非
要逼着用c，所以我就有点赶鸭子上架，建议搞清楚公司主要用的语言，提前也练练他
们的语言。我面的职位都偏点底层，系统方向，所以多线程，锁什么的被问不少。
coding题目难度适中，都是是板上见过的题目或变体。整体感觉找工作运气太重要了，
没有绝对的好与坏，比如我用同样的方式向ms，apple和zynga介绍我之前的项目，后两
个都进入下一轮，ms就秒拒。two sigma我觉得自己答的乱七八糟，结果feedback是全
组都很满意。总之，多参加面试才是提升面试技能的王道，因为难题没见着（估计是没
面g和f的缘故），做题谁都会，表达能力就显得更重要了。
第一次码这么多字，希望大家找工作顺利！

很多人发信问我怎么拿到面试的。其实就是把简历挂在monster上，地点什么的选纽约，就有猎头来找。
面试先笔试2小时两道题，都比较简单。
onsite是4个人，每人1个半小时，都来自同一个组，看起来招人很针对。
屋里放一台笔记本，可以type code，这个对于书法级差的我很有帮助。
题目都很常规，二叉树，哈西表什么的，都没有板上的题目难，关键是想全，多考虑特殊情况溢出什么的。尽量bug free，
达不到也没关系，说清楚思路就可以了。
面完当天基本就能知道结果，见了hr表示we would definitely keep in touch. 两天后接到口头offer。

cheap if u look at their revenue growth rate. I think they might go up 5x
in 10 years. If they give u stock, u shall think about it. Nvda is good too.
A niche player, can be bought by intel or aaple one day. So u shall look at
the stock u get. Seatle has no state tax. Nice weather.
2 sigma may not pay that well, and living cost is high. Bonus might be
better though. If u want to do finance u shall go there. U might marry a
rich guy there too.
Or you can think about: if u do that job, over time, how hard it is for them
to hire a new grad to replace u. |

think it's something like 10 pct. But online retail is only 2pct of all
retail money right now. And amzn has 20 pct of that. So huge market or them.
Amzn sell things at near cost, so their earning is low, but they gain more
loyal customers. Economy is still not good and ppl will want to save money
and buy cheap. Their revenue is so big it's easy or them to raise earning if
they want to.
It's a risky stock to buy, but great if u get stock options as employee. The
upside could be huge. |

still go buy there right?
Actually even if they raise their price a little , like 70 cents per order,
they can double their earnings and you will still buy there cuz it's stll
cheap and free shipping etc..
Having said that this stock is not cheap, so it 's not a sure thing like
buying axp or brk.
