Gay Protections Take Effect in Salt Lake City

In a first for Utah, an ordinance protecting gays from discrimination in
housing and employment took effect in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Salt Lake City's Democratic mayor Ralph Becker attended a ceremony on Friday
to celebrate the new law. Becker was joined by John Bennett, the gay nephew
of Utah junior senator Bob Bennett.

过去曾经支持一夫多妻制，这个违法
后来摩门与时俱进了，改了教义，现在支持一夫一妻了。

有的人反对同性婚姻，但是支持civil union之类的，这样的我觉得算是中立。
反同的就是那种整天叫嚣homosexual is sin，gay都要下地狱的人

is sin，gay都要下地狱的人应该是不多了，即使有，也不是有组织的。摩门教是最疯
狂的反对同性婚姻的组织，如果摩门都可以算中立的话，那我们就没有敌人了。 |

It is possible to be cynical or begrudging in reacting to the LDS Church's
unprecedented public decision to support civic protections against
discrimination in employment and housing with respect to homosexuals in Salt
Lake City. I think that is a temptation to be resisted.
