从昨晚的晚间新闻到今早的各大报纸，所有媒体都在报道Rutgers大学的悲剧。 很痛心
一个优秀的孩子就这么没了，其家人的悲痛真的是无以言表的；对两个涉案犯罪的的孩
子，气愤之余，同样也为他们和他们的父母感到悲哀。不管在司法程序后定罪如何，毕
竟这件事给他们今后的人生留下了抹不去的阴影。
我们这一代虽然求学时正赶上改革开放，可从小到大的教育中，却没有受过性教育，更
不用说是同性恋的教育。90年代初，隐约得记得，同性恋似乎和“流氓罪”有关，即便
是在上海那样的城市；出国后，在纽约这样的大都市，不可避免的接触到了同性恋者，
也听了不少同性恋的事，慢慢的只是不太以为奇了，但我也并不敏感这个话题。
有了孩子后，开始关心美国的学校教育，包括性教育。可真正让我注视到同性恋的教育
还是因为我自己闹得笑话。那年，老二Pre-K的班里有一个小女孩的妈妈们是两个女同
性恋者，我并不知道。开学不久，班里的每个孩子都做了“My Family”的Project, 也
就是家庭照片和自己最喜欢的食物、颜色等的介绍，贴在课堂外的走廊里。每天放学前

1、 敏锐的观察
通常，一位企图自杀者的表现不会十分活跃、主动，工作人员与当事人建立初步关
系时，必须忍耐求助者可能较为被动和沉默的表现。虽然求助者可能对工作人员表现出
漠不关心的态度，其实他是非常需要别人能给予支持的。工作人员的真诚关心和友善态
度是与求助者建立良好工作关系的重要基础。
2、初步接触
工作人员在接触有自杀危机求助者的初期，必须清楚地、肯定地表明工作人员的身
份及帮助求助者的意图。同时亦应向他申明病人有接受援助的权利，亦应对自己的生命
负全责，而工作人员亦应尊重病人的个人选择。学者Birtchnell (1983)认为，若有自
杀意图者经过工作人员一段时间的介入帮助后，仍然选择终结个人生命，工作人员应接
受个人在此项工作上的限制，并无须因求助者的决定而有罪疚感。
3、直接询问
学者Metto (1980)认为，最直接了解一个人的自杀危机的可能性，就是直接询问其
个人的自杀意向。这种工作手法特别强调在询问时要针对事实、清晰及不具批评性。

独居者：孤独的男人更容易自杀
自杀率与独居生活有显著关系。当集体约束力减弱，隔离和孤独便会增加男人的抑

，但自杀行为并不多，然而战后许多幸存者却纷纷自杀。
离婚者：25～29岁男性中，离婚者的自杀率是已婚者的4.4倍。家庭责任感降低、

性取向的多元化以及在性取向上少数群族的存在是—种亘古以来就存在的社会现象
。同性恋（homosexuality）一词则是德国医生Benkert于1869年创造的。它是指对异性
不能做出性反应，却被与自己性别相同的人所吸引。法律界和医学界对同性恋的认识已
经历了一个罪行化— 病理化到非刑事化—非病理化的曲折进程。在西方国家，人们对

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has said he is "heartbroken" after
hearing about a spate of suicides among young gay American men.
The straight star has become known as a gay rights advocate, having recently
appeared in a television ad to combat homophobia.
In a statement given to MTV News, he said: "Learning about the suicide
deaths of Tyler Clementi, Seth Walsh, Asher Walker, Billy Lucas and Justin
Aaberg has been heartbreaking for me. These young people were bullied and
tormented by people that should have been their friends.
"We have a responsibility to be better to each other, and accept each others
' differences regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race,
ability, or religion and stand up for someone when they're bullied."
He continued: "My deepest sympathies go out to the families and friends of
these excellent young people. And to all the young people who are being
bullied right now, you are not alone."
The star also urged friends to look out for the signs of depression.
"When a friend is feeling depressed or says they're thinking of killing
themselves, we must take it seriously and get them help," he said.
Radcliffe's statement came after a string of reports of suicides of gay
teenagers who had been bullied over their sexuality.
News of the deaths hit the world's media after 18-year-old New Jersey
student Tyler Clementi threw himself off a bridge following the discovery
that his roommate had allegedly streamed a sex tape of him on the internet.

During an interview, TV host Larry King said: "You made fun of gay kids in
high school to hide your own secret?"
Bass replied: "That's right".
He added: "When you're 13, 14, you just go along with what the other people
are doing. You just want to fit in. You want to make sure that your friends
like you. So yeah, you're going to crack jokes, you're going to laugh along
with it. And when you're a teenager, you're not really thinking, 'Oh, I'm
being a bully by laughing along with it.'
"You think, 'Okay, a bully's just someone that can physically go and harm
someone for being short, for being black, white, whatever'.
"But you know, you're also a bully by condoning the behaviour and making the
jokes along with them… I mean… it's definitely to impress your friends…
I think that's the main reason people do bully, is to look cool in front of
your friends. But you've just got to realise you're not being cool at all. I
mean, it's the stupidest thing to do."
Bass, who is now known as an entertainer and producer, came out in 2006.
In a message to gay young people, he said: "They don't realise that in a few
years that all goes away. It all gets so much better… You will leave those
people behind and they won't have anything to do with [your] life… Life
