OUT100 REVEALED - LARRY KRAMER, ANDREJ PEJIC, JESSE TYLER FERGUSON, AND
KATHY GRIFFIN ON MULTIPLE COVERS

It's been a big year for LGBT folk. Figures like Chaz Bono and Andrej
Pejic stepped away from traditional gender roles to show a new side of
humanity; "don't ask, don't tell" was repealed; marriage equality was
achieved in New York. Out magazine celebrates many of these achievements
today with the release of its annual OUT 100, the fashion mag's picks for
the 100 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people and allies of the year.
The mag did it with the reveal of four separate covers featuring legendary
activist and writer Larry Kramer, male model Andrej Pejic, Modern Family
star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and outspoken LGBT supporter and comedian Kathy
Griffin. The covers were shot with references to classic Vogue covers from
the 1960s, and together they depict a wedding scene in honor of New York's
marriage equality win this summer.
As we've mentioned over the last couple weeks, the entire portfolio was
inspired by iconic portraits of the 20th century. Richard Avedon’s image of
a shaving Marlon Brando is recreated with Chaz Bono, Andy Warhol's Elvis is
redone featuring pop singer Adam Lambert, Facts of Life's Geri Jewell
recreates Gloria Swanson by Edward Steichen, Federal judge J. Paul Oetken is
used in a recreation of an Irving Penn photo featuring Trumpan Capote, and
so on. Each honoree was shot by famed photographer Gavin Bond.
The launch is also marked by the Out100 party, one of the biggest LGBT
event to hit New York every year. Tonight will be no exception, with many of
the honorees in attendance.....

Alejandro MTV. His name is Mark Kanemura. Reason I can recognize him is that
he seemed to be the only Asian dancer in Gaga's Alejandro MTV. | y*****g

It is not quite my favorite but I can read it each month anyway.
