BEIJING, July 30 ? The United States agreed Friday to
pay $4.5 million in damages to the 27 people injured and the families of
three reporters killed in the accidental bombing of the Chinese Embassy in
Yugoslavia. The compensation is voluntary and is not an admission of
liability on the part of the United States, said State Department legal
