有能力在没有他人帮助下可以独立生存，可以应付自如。那个小伙子已经证明这点了，
而且也找到工作了，现在为爱情回去不是正好。
年轻人为了爱人放弃一切，无怨无悔，多美好啊，有这样勇气和决心的人一定可以成功

I have a classmate in Tsinghua and he was a Chemistry PhD in a top univ.
He quit with a master and went back to China after two years for his
girlfriend.
Now he got married and got a decent job in the capital branch of Agricultral
Band of China in Xidan, Beijing.
They bought an condo on west Sanhuan road for 300w.

anyone end up "struggling in Beijing". Even if the life is not as good as
his, I definitely wouldn't expect "struggling" for a very long term.
Actually, most of my classmates have settled down in China.
In comparison, I am still struggling for a PhD. It will be a long time
before I can get a stable job. But I don't care. I know I don't have the
courage to do what he did, so I also enjoy my life.

. most of phds experienced such an anxious period. what you want now is only
a job and a life with more certainty. once you get those, you will see
quality of life and jobs will be more important.
