an established Chinese domestic biotech company located in Beijing. It’s a
main local producer of Interferon alpha with annual sale over 100 million
RMB. The revenue is not significant by US standard, but it gives the company
a strong foothold and provides sufficient cash flow for new drug
development.
Kawin is looking for a veteran returnee as its head of new drug development.
Kawin’s main interest is protein therapeutics based on its yeast
fermentation platform. This person will be the first returnee in the company
so could exert great influence.
A main reason for Kawin to look abroad is the value a lot of returnees have
shown in recent years. Clearly the CEO of Kawin sees a big quality gap
