给我妈妈的，我是这么写的：
Dear Visa Officer,
Thank you very much for your time reading this
letter. I’m requesting my mother, Mrs. XXX,
be permitted to visit United States from May 15,
2012 to July 25, 2012. I’m currently a visiting
scholar in the Dept. of Economics and Finance,
University of Wyoming. A copy of my passport with
visa and entry record, my University of Wyoming ID
card, and a copy of the invitation letter from
University of Wyoming are attached.
During her visit, we plan to travel in the Western
region of USA. Our main interests are the national
parks of the mount west region, Yellowstone, Grand
Teton, Rocky Mountain, and Zion, and the major cities
in the west and on the western coast, Las Vegas, Los
Angeles, and San Francisco. We may visit New York
and Washington D.C. too.
I was going to invite my father; but he was not able
to obtain leaves from his employer. After two months,
my mother will return to China since her only intension
of this trip is to visit me and travel in USA. Five
days after my mother leaves USA, I will finish my
visit in University of Wyoming and return to Norwegian
University of Life Sciences, Norway, where I’m enrolled
as a doctorate student and employed as a research fellow.
My family’s Household Registry (Hu Kou Ben), my father’s
employment proof, my parents’ ownership certificate of
their house, a copy of my DS-2019 document, a copy of
University of Wyoming’s invitation letter for my visit,
and a copy of my air ticket are attached.
My mother’s travelling expenses will be jointly covered
by herself and me. Her bank account with deposit and
withdraw records and a copy of the letter from Norwegian
University of Life Sciences on the assurance of my
financial support are attached.

给我妈妈死党的邀请函的格式和内容十分接近，主要差别就是我妈死党的老公还在上班
，还有就是她的闺女也在国内的一个中学当老师，去年刚结婚。

1.thank you for reading这样的客套话能免则免，不能免放到最后，尤其是very much
这样的语气
2.前面对你自己的介绍已经足够，不知为何后面又提到你自己毕业后的安排，觉得没有
必要
3.材料清单似乎附个清单更合适，正文只要提到请见清单就可以了 | L******9
