Dear Visa Officer,
My name is XX, I would greatly appreciate your time and consideration in
facilitating my mother’s B2 visa application for tourism purpose and visit
my family. I hope this letter can be helpful in this process.
I would like to invite my mother, XXX, to the States from October to January
. While we often keep in touch via the phone and video chatting, I still
want my mother come to see our daily lives and enjoy the customs and
cultures in the States. During her 2-3 months long visit, she will stay with
my husband and me in xxx, Oregon. We plan to visit Las Vegas, some places
of interesting in Oregon and California. My mother also has a long shopping
list from her relatives and friends in China.
My mother will return to China in February for her new house closing, and
celebrate the Chinese New Year with her big family in China. My mother’s
sister, who often lives with my mom, is in poor health and needs my mother
to take care of, so my mother can only stay in U.S. for a few months. My
mother owns a real estate in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, and enjoys full
health insurance coverage in Sichuan, China. Her bank deposit and generous
pension is far enough to cover all her travel and shopping expenses.

关键的一句：“Although I am an American citizen, my mom has no intention of
becoming an
immigrant; she has a wide and close social network in China, and is staying
at different cities of China with relatives at different seasons. ”
“Although”开始的都是负面的信息，最好信里不提。你是申请人的儿子/女儿，直系
血亲，和你说你母亲的社会关系在中国有矛盾，除了配偶没有人能超过你“close”。
“different seasons”实在不明白你想说什么。建议你查查字典different，这个是强
调区别，你这里强调区别有意义么，我觉得你应该是强调多的意思。“mom”这么口语
的词出现在一个正式信函中，VO还以为你相她撒娇呢。到这里吧，看不下去了，这样的
写作跟一个高学历身份非常不符。
我平时写的也很烂，但是正式发出去的，都会至少自己再读一遍。 | z****s

我听说公民的父母不好签，因为有申请绿卡的可能，所以想说明我妈妈并不愿意移民来
美国。不知道这么说合不适合。 | t********4

倒数第二段后半部说你妈妈必须要回国的原因看着很negative啊，要不是姐姐健康很差
需要人照顾，要不是自己只在中国有医疗保险所以遇上问题只能回国，这个这个。。能
不能尽量只找positive的理由来支持呢？

我阿姨和我妈妈都单身，她身体不好，我妈妈经常在照顾她。我其实也在犹豫写不写，
后来觉得写上回去的理由多些，也顺便说明和国内的联系，就写了。

发帖数: 847 | 7 总觉得倒数第二段列出的理由都不够strong。bank statement没必要提。
多想想你老妈和国内的bonding吧，eg.亲戚，社交圈子，稳定的医疗保险和退休保障，
安逸的生活。。。
说说你妈妈不会英语，过来会不适应，感到孤独的。
另，待多久就说2个月好了
