3. If you want something a little bit more "modern" and not
from Fender or Gibson (which is what I prefer, cause I
always suspect those two big names charge a higher premium
on their products), shop on an Ibanez RG120 or RG170, ESP
M-50 or Jackson JS-20 Dinky. They are all modern versions of
Strats with thinner, faster neck, jumbo frets and two
humbuck pickups. Great for heavy stuffs. Though they are
also good when play clean.
