CD ever.
Butch Vig is a big time producer who is known to turn crappy sounding rock/
punk bands
into platinum selling grammy winning ones... Our beloved Nirvana is a good
example.
While Nirvana was a good goose, he made them lay gold eggs :)

new CD still try to sound like that...
I've been following those Punmpkins engineers also.
Now those guys are quality assurance :)
Flood who produced "Mellon Collie..." went on to produce U2,
Alan Moulder went to produce Nine Inch Nails.
Good guys.
