a map and got lost several times, and found myself zigzagging. I was nowhere
near where I wanted to be. It was very discouraging. After 12 miles my left
ankle started to protest, so I got some snacks at dunkin donuts and caught
the last subway train at Malden center and went back home, recorded 15 miles
in total. I can sense that the biggest challenge in an ultra will be more
of a mental one than a physical one. In the m | c*******r 发帖数: 13580 | 2 well said. I'm having the fire now. don't have enough juice though

让我想起这个:
Ultra-running is one of those things that's hard to explain... Most people
don't even like running, so the first thing they have to figure out is that
running isn't painful, it can just sometimes be "uncomfortable" (at least
compared to laying on the couch). Serious runners are those that have
figured out how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable - so then they
run regularly, then train, and finally race - even if it's just competition
against themselves.

I would have to run back instead of taking the train). I'd be risking
serious injury also, since my body wasn't ready for it. nevertheless, I
experienced a bit more with the ultra mentality. I went out without
thinking about how to get back. I just run and see what happens.
