running. such as el guerrouj. a good friend of mine is of algerian descent,
has a 15:36 5K PR on the road and has run a 31:00 10K on the treadmill. That
's a guy who's never coached and simply runs 10 miles a day on the treadmill
after class during graduate school. (While he got me into running initially, later on he actually came to me for advice on
training...)
