I got up at 2:30 am this morning and got everything ready till 3:10. Left
resort which is not far from epcot at 3:15. The
road is a little confusing here but we got our way by following all the
runners' cars. Took us about 10 mins to be the
reunion placein epcot.
It was not as cold as I thought. ~ 50 F. Warmed up with a cup of hog coco
and dancing with the DJ. It is fun to look at
people dressed in Disney characters. And I decided to wear my Minnie mouse
ear the whole course.
After checked in, all the runners were waiting to walk to the start line.
You will never get lost since there were over
20000 runners. So just follow the flow. Walked about 20 mins finally got to
the starting area. I was in second carral B.
So all the people in this corral suppose to finish in 2 h.
Another 1h waiting, our corral started from the line with fireworks. Very
exciting moment.
I got to go, first 2 miles I really did a good job. I ran at almost pace 7
and caught up some people in first corral. Then I
kept my pace till 9 miles. I ran with my music. If the music was fast. I ran
fast.
On the way saw a Chinese guy , said hello to him and passed him by.
After 9 miles, the running became a little tough for me. We ran on the high
way and the ramp going up and down very
often. Especially the ramp killed my feet so bad because it was not flat.
Finally got to epcot around 12 miles, road became more marrow and wet. I
ran more carefully in order not to slip
down.
Finishing run made me faster again with the clock time in 2h.
The course is different for me since I ran in Disney world. I even ran
through the castle that made me almost cry even I
have been here before. U have all the characters on the way.
Will upload some pics later. Didn't take q lot though. It was too dark. | v***l
