I am supposed to pace the 2:10 group at this race, but today I came down
with a terrible cold/flu - the chill and fatigue wiped me out. I tried to
stay off any meds but the fever won't back down. Finally, less than 12 hrs
before the race, I throw the towel, it will be my very first DNS.

Actually yesterday the race was cut short to be a 10-miler(actually 9.5),
due to the flood on the trail caused by the storm the day before.

你那天跑得不错啊,有可能 PR 的,主办应该免你下回的报名费作为补偿 ;-)
