right and responsibility are co-existed. for those non-tax payers, where do their responsibility reflect?
Even public Univ. charges triple for those non-resident students, so should public high school.

d******t 发帖数: 1242 | 14 So I suppose the way to keep kids of foreign countries from going to US
public k-12 schools is to keep them out of the country? ;)
On the other hand, if one can go to public school so long as he/she or the
parents can pay for it, wouldn't that benefit the public schools on a tight
budget?
can

y****i 发帖数: 17878 | 17 how do you verify the income of an alien or an undocumented immigrant?
there are always people who try to game the system when they can afford the

simply because of few bad apples

Yes, once a minor arrives in this country, legally or not, he/she is
entitled to get basic education (K-12).

d******t 发帖数: 1242 | 21 What I was saying is that if the public schools are allowed to admit a
foreign resident child as long as the parents are willing to pay for it,
that tuition might actually help fund the schools.
While I agree children should be entitled to schools regardless if they
enter the country legally or not (like someone above said, they'd better to
be in school than on the streets), I also understand how some can be upset.
Just imagine if kids in Mira Mesa are allowed to go to Carmel Valley or Del
Mar
