The Yamaha U1 is an excellent piano that used in many US schools.
It is also very reliable and wildly recommended by all piano teachers.
The MSRP on the U1 is around 10K, and in many cases sold for $7K - $8.5K.
However, during our research of purchasing a piano for our daughter, we
found out that Green Music had sold it to a group for around $6000 (after
tax and delivery). If you go alone, you may get a deal from Green Music for
$6500, but we hope to knock down the price further into 5's. (目標价 六仟以

people to the purchase. It is getting harder and harder to maintain when the
group grow bigger and bigger. Therefore, I don't really want to post this
to LA board.
$5850 is a good price to me, personally. However, I think, for that price,
at least 30% of our group members would drop out.
Anyway, we will see if anyone step up to take over this responsibility to
talk to Lee. |

, it is against Yamama's rule to sell pianos to people who do not live in
the dealer's area. Greene music is not happy about losing business to LA
dealers. So they press Yamaha disquality the Chinese dealer in LA.
If you are lucky last year, you may get some cheap U1 because that Chinese
dealer needs to clean the warehouse after being disqualified. Otherwise, I
would doubt the quality of the pianos. There is a grey market for U1. Some
dealers may purchase old U1 from Japan and refurbished them and resell them
in US.
