高阶词典的解释，这裡的「Chinaman」 应该指的是华人餐馆常见随餐附送的幸运小饼

另有网友指出，这句话裡使用冠词「The」，而且Chinaman一词用的是单数形式（
singular form），应该是特指某人或某事，不是泛指中国人。所以也有可能指的是在
拉斯维加斯颇受欢迎的演出「The Chinaman」。所以不必望文生义，如果写成複数形式
Chinamen，再告不迟。 |

是 严肃的？
有谁能在很严肃的LAB RULE 写上 NO 迪斯尼 MUSIC ？
如果真是这样， 咱中国人这么大闹就会出笑话的。范儿让人看不起。
哈哈， 知道我的话会挨砖头， 不过， 我倒觉得UCSD对 中国学生一项还是不错的

滑雪板都有原贴。
到目前为止，我还没有看到任何母语是英语的人有这种理解。

belongs to a renowned public university, but I think appropriate actions
have been taken so far by UCSD, and an investigation is ongoing.
Unless the investigation proves otherwise, the professor should be given the
benefit of the doubt that he is unaware of the webpage as he claims in his
personal apology.

people react differently to the same sentence. from this reporter's
perspective, these rules are meant to be jokes. of course they are offensive
therefore they should be taken down.
is it really a surprise that a professor knows little about one webpage on
his website? again, let's wait for the results of the investigation.

Yet, we have to follow up to make sure that the school investigate on those,
not just a reason to bypass this issue all together.
Also, no matter what the verdict is, it is a good opportunity to bring up
the awareness that racial slurs are never funny. In fact, "when a person
tell you he does not like to be called a certain name, we should respect his
feeling and stopping calling him that name." This is what my 3 yr old is
learning at preschool right now.
