1. "dumpling inn" (convoy) -- pros: dumplings are not oily, (but I don't
know about their dishes), if your parents don't want meat filling, you can
order shrimp dumplings; cons: the restaurant is small, limited seating,
could have long wait.
2. Chin's Miramar: during weekend brunch time they have soy milk, green
onion pancake, etc of Chinese "breakfast items" on menu . They have steamed
fish dishes for lunch and dinner too. pro: bigger restaurant / more seating,
cons: not cheap, food quality seems not always consistent.
3. "Yes! Pingo" -- serves Taiwanese dishes, ask waiter to recommend ones
less oily (for example, soup noodles are not oily). I used to think it's
probably a place young students hang out, but I have only been there once
and on that day there was a big table of senior uncles and aunts having a
gathering/ party. Pro: interesting if you are willing to try new dishes,
cons: service may be slow, kind of casual setting.
