标 题: 包子求解：Ubuntu vnc session的问题

平台：
Thinkpad T41/Ubuntu and Dell Inspiron E521 desktop/Vista。
症状：
在Ubuntu启动vncserver后，在Vista用TightVNC连接，出现gnome-setting-daemon错误
，如
图一。
跳过这个错误继续进行，启动terminal，出现字体扭曲，很不舒服，如图二。另外任务栏的主题也略有不同。
但如果用Ubutuntu自己的remote desktop，则一切正常，如图三。这个和我在笔记本上看到的Ubuntu界面是一模一样的。
但使用remote desktop的问题是laptop和desktop分辨率不一样。这样无法在desktop上
全屏使用
Ubuntu。

just use X windows remote login,
I hate VNC for its proprietory protocol

看上去是vncserver用的桌面scheme和Ubuntu自带的remote desktop用的scheme不一样
。这个应该就是设置问题，很好改吧。

发帖数: 4965 | 4 for such things, I generally get the easiest way ---- don't want to spend
anytime figuring out little gotchas
if u use X, just go on the linux box and set gnome login, enable remote
login (xmdp something)
then have an xclient on the client, set server address to the linux,
that's it. that's how X is supposed to work.

but u can run an older GDM for this feature: X still allows it

Linux为何搞这么复杂呢？我只是想vnc client看到的桌面/字体/颜色和本地登录一致
