for me, in same company, enginer gets higher pay than scientist.

of course they have and most in labs r. i think they r paid more than
average engineers.

lab干的像engineer，但还是很有一些lab在做research的。一般说来，scientist的工
作到prototype级就够了，不需要考虑产品级的问题。 |

Don't know if they got salary promotion fast though.

90k. And that was a few years ago.

I was looking for a job then and my full time offer salary was less than her
postdoc's. that's why I was impressed. |
