Plus it is highly biophilic, and occurs in multiple ionic forms which have
different chemical behaviors. This makes it fairly easy for I129 to enter
the biosphere as it becomes incorporated into vegetation, soil, milk, animal
tissue, etc.
So I am confused with what 石九公 said. If we need to avoid milk
contaminated with isotopes of iodine (majorly we are avoiding milk
contaminated with I129, not milk contaminated with I131), then we need to
avoid it for life time. Since beta decay of I129 is about 15.7 million years. | c*****n
