It turns out what old Warren said was all true. Mit Romney probably pays

If the law says capital gain tax is 15% and his income is purely from
capital gains, what's wrong with his tax rate being 15% while the lawn mower
is paying 30% or whatever?
If people think capital gain tax rate is too low, go fix it. But unless
someone's illegally evading tax, making more money and/or paying less tax is
not his/her problem.

rich. There will always be loop holes, and true rich will always pay less
in tax rate they are "supposed" to pay.
while the so called $250k "rich" gonna foot the bill, with the green backs
being printed out like crazy and inflation kicking in high gear, these "rich
" will fall off their status fast enough without even realizing it.
want an example?
look at AMT,
and it was designed to catch super super super rich people.

he's a general partner. his role is to manage the capital. but he gets paid
through the profit which is accounted as invest income, not wage. so he can
get 15% rate while engineers have to pay 40%.

at least for me I will end up paying more tax with 9/9/9 system w/o mortgage
deduction than current system with mortgage deduction.
