newt当时是怎么说的,他有指责clinton通奸而不适合当总统吗?

但是事实是无法磨灭的.
让我们来看看,newt当时是如何指责clinton吧.
"The president of the United States got in trouble for committing a felony
in front of a sitting federal judge," he said, arguing that Clinton had "
deliberately committed perjury."
"The standard is: In a court of law should somebody who's popular get away
with perjury?" Gingrich said. "And I drew a line in my mind that said, 'Even
though I run the risk of being deeply embarrassed, and even though at a
purely personal level I am not rendering judgment on another human being, as
a leader of the government trying to uphold the rule of law, I have no
choice except to move forward and say that you cannot accept felonies and
you cannot accept perjury in your highest officials."

obama可以因为自己的喜好而不去维护法律程序.
i.e. obama可以为了自己的base,选择不defend DOMA.
这比newt找小四对国家法律的伤害,性质大多了.
