看了一个美国人的说法,不知真假
The more I learn about Indian society, the more it seems like there is an
explicit and ongoing system of discrimination going on between castes, even
outside India - in Silicon Valley, I have seen Indians try to only hire
other Indians in the same caste, or forbid marriages between two otherwise
very progressive young people from different castes. It seems to pervade
many aspects of their lives. Yet, when you talk to them about India or
Indian culture, they rarely volunteer information about castes and the way
it affects their thinking. Is there a shame or unspoken code about how
talking about this because it is, compared to American attitudes about
racism and egalitarianism, essentially a taboo? | s*******e 发帖数: 4188 | 2 It s very difficult to remove discrimination from people's mind. | c*********r 发帖数: 2097 | 3 Is there a shame or unspoken code about how
