总统里面businessman不多，上个世纪也就这几个。

arguably most hated by the cons.
胡佛，成功矿主，慈善家，投资者。最善长削减冗余，提高效率。

If someone pisses off enough 天潢贵胄 and cannot be reelected anymore, all
in 4 short years, I would say 升斗小民s should vote for this highly
effective person at any cost.

削减了税收，征收关税，和别人打贸易战，拒绝由联邦政府搞社会
福利。
The root cause, IMHO, is that he failed to recognize that the
government is part of the economy, and the biggest danger in
the economy is the misalignment of the interests of the super
rich vs the rest of the nation, not that of the super poor vs
the nation.
The former is an accute disease. The later is a chronic one.
It is one thing that you refuse any large sized soda to keep
your body healthy -- it is another thing that you refused to take
an IV when your body is seriously failing.
For that, and despite the businessman he is, he failed.

胡佛总的来说还是个合格的一个总统,只是倒霉摊上那个时代了.

发帖数: 16625 | 9 胡佛之后是FDR，如果没有二战，美国经济能好转吗。FDR的任期内，美国经济也是一直
低迷。所以，我觉得经济这个东西和总统关系不是那么大。
卡特任期正好在金本位取消之后，利率高到20%，谁在台上也不行。
老布什也正好赶上经济的低谷，但是现在普遍认为克林顿时期的经济发展得益于里根和
老布什时代的持续减税政策。
现在美国的经济困局，我觉得和奥巴马关系其实也不大，小bush和克林顿应该各有一半
责任，都是为了数字好看猛吃兴奋剂的恶果。我对奥巴马不满，几个原因obamacare，
移民政策，能源政策,外交政策。

unlucky to have a super rich businessman as president.
His plan, just like Bush's, Romney's brought, the disaster
upon the world. His own misery as the consequence of his own
stupidity is nothing compares to what he brought to US
and the world.
For one, his tariff, quite like what Romney claimed he
would do on day one, started the world war of economy,
which leads to the great depression of the whole world,
and almost directly to the breakout of world war II.
By any ranking, by the scholars or the reporters, this
guy is near the bottom of all the presidents.
All the businessmen presidents, by very similar motivation
as Romney's, are miserable failures in the history.
It is a tragic that the poor people of US would choose
to elect another out of touch super rich to shoot
themselves down.
Another great depression will do Romney no harm. It will
destroy any independence of the working middle class that
has grown from world war II.
