BREAKING NEWS: Suspect flees after exchanging gunfire with officer; car
located in nearby private community

A Milpitas Police Department officer and a driver who was pulled over for a
routine traffic stop exchanged gunfire on Jacklin Road near Escuela Parkway
shortly before 2 a.m. this morning (Nov. 27). Police said the suspect
emerged from his vehicle during the stop and opened fire.
The suspect drove away and had not been apprehended as of 8:15 a.m., Sgt.
Kevin Corvin said.
Milpitas Post reporters located the suspect's car on Folsom Circle at Folsom
Court inside the private Hidden Lakes community at about 10 a.m. A tow
truck pulled it away at 10:40 a.m. and officers escorted it away. The
vehicle is a 1996 tan colored Honda Accord.
Officers with a tracking dog were canvassing areas of North Milpitas
Boulevard near the Hidden Lakes development earlier today, and other
officers were staged throughout the area on the lookout.
It is unclear if the suspect was hit. The officer was not hit but suffered
minor injuries, Corvin said.
Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 to 5
feet 9, 160 to 180 pounds, medium build, wearing a black and white
horizontal striped flannel shirt. The car that was located was stolen from
San Jose.
All three schools on Escuela Parkway are open and were never on lockdown
although traffic was diverted to Hillview Drive. Jacklin Road reopened
before schools began. Several parents kept their children out of school
though Milpitas Unified School District officials said the situation was
safe.
"Milpitas police (have) been in constant communication with myself and
school district officials since early this morning," Superintendent Cary
Matsuoka said. "The area is safe and schools are open on schedule. We have
sent out a message to parents of Milpitas High, Russell Middle and Pomeroy
Elementary, letting them know that school is open and the area is safe." |

表板下发抖，还好掩护的警察到了，对射还是让一个跑了，否则死定了。现在懂了为什
