The partnership plans to build 12,500 homes, a hotel, 3.5 million square
feet of research-development and commercial space, 80,0000 square feet of
retail space, and an arena at nearby Candlestick Point. Construction could
begin as early as next year, with homes for sale by the end of 2013,
according to a person with knowledge of the project's details.
