contractor.听朋友的建议,我们会去看各个contractor正在进行或者已经完成的工程
来作评估。但我们都是菜鸟,对装修工程一窍不通,所以对如何准确地评价contractor
工程的质量好坏心里实在没有底。
我们也想过找一个inspector和我们一起看看各个contractor的工程,来以专业的眼光
评估一下各个contractor。 但有个朋友(他做过appraiser)说inspector也不好评估
,因为没有图纸可以对照,contractor偷工减料也看不出来。
我们也会问问contractor的references。这些工程一般都是近期完工的。 但对home
owner来说,一些潜在的问题一年两年也看不出来。
所以特在此虚心请教各位高手,能不能出个主意,有什么办法很好地评估contractor的

LICENSE BOARD. THE LICENSE NUMBER TELLS YOU HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN IN
BUSINESS.
REMEMBER TO APPLY PERMIT. CHECK THE MATERIALS THEY ARE USING. THEIR COST
PROPOSAL HAS TO BE BROKEN DOWN INTO DETAILS, INCLUDING MATERIAL COST AND
LABOR COST. MORE DETAILS, THE BETTER. HOW ARE THEY GOING TO SUB-CONTRACT?
SOMETIMES FINDING KEY SUBS BY YOURSELVES CAN HAVE ADVANTAGES.
PAY STEP BY STEP, NEVER PAY EVERYTHING UP FRONT.
GOOGLE HOW TO EVALUATE EACH SUB'S WORK. IT IS NOT EASY,YOU HAVE TO LEARN.
IT IS YOUR HOUSE. CITY INSPECTOR CAN BE A GREAT RESOURCE. YOU CAN HIRE YOUR
OWN INSPECTOR, CIVIL ENGINEER OR CONSULTANT FOR A FEE. GOOD LUCK. |
